Now on to the good stuff! Less than 8 months before our wedding I met Amy Stanley with Style by Design through mutual friends! We hit it off and she told me about her plans to start her own Event Styling company. Fast forward a month or so later and Amy offered to style my wedding "pro bono" just as long as she could have full rights to our photos to help build her portfolio! This would be her first wedding and I was more than eager to support her business, gain some awesome styling in the process, and relieve some of the stress of planning a wedding from my mom and myself! After explaining my ideas to Amy and how I was torn between the vintage feel and a more modern look, she drafted three designs boards for me! We decided to go with the vintage chic board and never looked back! Amy's ideas, my florist's Rich {from Bowman's Garden Center} snazziness, and our wants all came together perfectly! I couldn't have asked for a more gorgeous ceremony! Style by Design also did the graphics for our invitations, programs, and thank-you notes that were placed at each guest's setting. Amy and Rich were amazing and I still can't thank them enough for their hard work!
Both the ceremony and reception were held at my childhood home. It sits on 7 acres of land with a huge pond in the front yard! I have ALWAYS loved the nature that surrounds the house and always knew as long as my mother still lived there I would be married there! It was beyond breathtaking that day!
Hands down my favorite part of our day was when my sweet hubby saw me for the first time. He was trying so hard to hold back tears! It was the second time I've ever seem him get emotional and it really choked me up! The sounds of his sniffles were even caught by our videographer {Gary with LNRpro} and our photographer took a great shot of him trying to control it!
