Our Wedding Day - The Reception!

Welp, it's Thursday and I am back at work after 5 days of being in the most beautiful historic city EVER! I can't wait to share a post about our fabulous Annimoon! Today marks day 4 of our wedding day and I can't wait for y'all to party with us at our reception!

As you learned in yesterday's post, we had Amy from Style by Design and Bowman's Garden Center worked hard making our day perfect! Bowman's blew me away with our floral arrangements and Amy worked her booty off folding napkins, creating an entire photo booth backdrop {which was a total surprise for me}, and setting up and arranging everything! Unfortunately we weren't able to use the surprise photo booth fully, because after dinner, what looked like a hell furry severe thunderstorm, threatened to ruin the evening! While most of the older folks ended up leaving to get home safely, the young folks and close family and friends stayed to party the night away with us! When the storm started blowing in, everyone hustled and bustled to take up most of the decor so it wouldn't end up ruined and then we moved everyone under the tent! The storm actually went somewhat around us and we happened to miss the severeness of it. Naturally I was bummed out at first, but once we saw all the folks that stayed to party with us, we couldn't have cared less! It definitely added some uniqueness to our night and after all Rain on your Wedding Day means Good Luck, right?!

The Green Bean Cafe {which is the cafe inside of Bowman's} catered our wedding dinner and we opted for buffet style service, which featured a Pasta Bar and a ton of other mouth watering dishes. We also had a mashed potato bar during the cocktail hour which apparently was a HUGE hit, as Todd nor I had any! For beverages we had bottled water, lemonade, tea, Red and White wine, and three choices of beer! I'm actually really glad we decided against serving liquor as everyone was feeling mighty fine with the alcohol that we did serve!

Our D.J., Ernie Hefferon kept the party going all night! He was so easy going and fun! Not to mention he calmed my nerves when I was in a panic over the storm! My best friend, bridesmaid, and makeup artist, Sarah {Kiss & Makeup} is also a phenomenal singer! She sang "Mama's Song" by Carrie Underwood for my dance with my mom AND she sang with the acoustic guitar played by Todd's uncle, "You are my Sunshine" for Todd's dance with his momma. The girl is amazing and there wasn't a dry eye in the house! If I can EVER figure out how to post our video, I most definitely will so you can hear her yourselves!

It really ended up being a fabulous night, despite a few hiccups and mishaps, but seriously, what is a wedding without that! As long as you can look back on your day and be completely happy with how it turned out and know that it's all about marrying the person you love, than that's all that matters!

Enjoy the party!!!
